Racquets Mate was started in 2008 by myself, David Munt. Before starting a Tennis, Squash and Badminton stringing service I spend 3 years coaching tennis and re-stringing racquets for the clubs I was working at.

I started stringing my own tennis racquets in 2000 and in 2002 I completed the Racquet Stringing Solutions (RSS) stringing course. In 2008 I became a member of the European Racquet Stringers Association (ERSA) and completed the United States Racquet Stringers Association Master Racquet Technician (USRSA MRT) course.

I have been part of the Apollo Leisure Official Stringing Team for the Wimbledon Championships since 2009.

This year (2011), I am also part of the Babolat Official Stringing Team that will service the player’s racquets for all the British events including the AEGON INTERNATIONAL, CHAMPIONSHIPS & CLASSIC.
