Racquet Customising

Everyone who plays tennis has customised their racket, even without realising. This may be choosing a different grip, adding an over grip or the type of strings you use. With the knowledge that Racquets Mate has they can help any player with the above customizations. Looking further into customising tennis racquets will include increasing the weight of your racquet, changing the balance point of your racket. Both of these can be achieved by adding lead tape strips to the racquet. Where a large about of weight needs to be added to the racquet you can but silicon or glue into the handle to add weight to the racquet but this means it can not to reversed or taken out at a later date. What Racquets Mate can provide, by looking at the wear patterns of your strings, are some suggestion to gain more stability and power from your racket. You can then go and try it, and come back to us with your feedback. Once you are completely happy with your racket, the specifications will be logged. If you have more than one racket, your other ones can be matched to the exact specifications down to 1/10g!

Alll Racquet Customising & Matching is carried out using a Babolat Racquet Diagnostic Centre (RDC) as pictured above.

Racquet Matching

Whether you're a travelling Pro with 10 racquets or a club player with 2 or 3 Racquet Matching may be something that you would be interested in. What is it? It is what it says it is, matching more than 1 racquet to the exact same specs as each other. When racquets are produced in the factory they all have a tolerance of +/-7g for the weight. For example, you purchase 3 racquets with the specs of: 300g weight. With the tolerances that factories allow you could have as an extreme 14g difference in weight which would therefore affect the balance point and swing weight. Racquet Matching matches all your racquets to the same specs using a Babolat Racquet Diagnostic Centre (RDC). This means when you at a crucial point in the third set and you break a string, you know the new racket you pick up will be exactly the same as the one you have just used.
